Ask Claude to audit your container
Add the main AdvisorPPC connector in Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://mcp.advisorppc.com/claude. Follow the steps Claude shows, then connect Google Tag Manager in your dashboard at https://mcp.advisorppc.com/dashboard so there is a container to read.
Then paste this, with your own IDs:
Audit Google Tag Manager container <container_id> in account <account_id> for Consent Mode v2. Read only. Report missing default signals and tag consent settings.
Good follow-ups: "Which of those tags matter most for my Google Ads conversions?" and "Turn the audit into a checklist I can hand to my developer." The audit reads; it does not change your container. Make consent edits in your own Tag Manager workspace and preview them before you publish. There is nothing to confirm in Claude, because the change waits for you in Tag Manager.

When it does not behave
If tags still fire before consent, check two things: that your banner callback is actually connected, and that Consent Mode is not left off. If Claude says Tag Manager is not connected, connect your accounts at https://mcp.advisorppc.com/dashboard. A 401 from the connector address in a browser is expected; it is an endpoint for Claude.
A short consent checklist
- Know which tags on your site measure or advertise, and which do neither.
- Audit the container from Claude and hand the report to your developer.
- Preview every Tag Manager change before publishing it.
- Write down the date of each change, so a later dip in recorded conversions is read against it.
