Where it stands

Advisor Cookies is still in development; its customer banner and receipt service are not shipped. We will not give a date until it ships. This guide covers what you can use today, so your tags respect visitor choices while you wait. Nothing below depends on Advisor Cookies existing, and nothing here asks you to install a product that is not released.

Connect it in Claude

There is no Advisor Cookies connector to add. For consent work today, add the main AdvisorPPC connector: in Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://mcp.advisorppc.com/claude. Follow the steps Claude shows to finish the connection, then connect Google Tag Manager in your dashboard at https://mcp.advisorppc.com/dashboard so there is a container to read. A consent audit should only read your container; keep changes to your own Tag Manager workspace.

Connect it with your website

AdvisorPPC 1.1.0 is available from WordPress.org. The WordPress plugin connects your existing consent banner to Consent Mode. Choose basic mode and connect the banner callback to hold supported measurement tags until the required choice is reported. Consent Mode is off by default; configure it before relying on consent gating. Ask a developer or privacy adviser to check the setup for the law that applies to you.

Five prompts, reads first

First: "Audit Google Tag Manager container <container_id> in account <account_id> for Consent Mode v2. Read only. Report missing default signals and tag consent settings." Second: "Which of those tags matter most for my Google Ads conversions?" Third: "Explain what basic Consent Mode changes for my measurement tags." Fourth: "Turn the audit into a checklist I can hand to my developer." Fifth, the change itself: make the consent edits in your own Tag Manager workspace and preview them before you publish. Nothing in this guide changes your container, so there is nothing to confirm in Claude; the change waits for you in Tag Manager.

Usage, resets and sharing

Free is now 3x. Free reads Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console and YouTube, with no card; changes start on a paid plan. Every friend who signs up and connects resets your usage again. Your dashboard at https://mcp.advisorppc.com/dashboard shows what you have left and when it renews.

When something goes wrong

A 401 from the connector address in a browser is expected. If Claude says Tag Manager is not connected, connect your accounts at https://mcp.advisorppc.com/dashboard. If a call is refused for plan limits, check your dashboard for what your plan includes. If tags still fire before consent, check that your banner callback is connected, and that Consent Mode on the plugin is not left off. Support: [email protected].

Worked example

Example account: a bakery with a WordPress site uses a banner plugin but never connected it to its tags. With Consent Mode off, its measurement tags load before the visitor chooses anything. The owner sets Consent Mode to basic in the AdvisorPPC plugin and asks the developer to connect the banner callback. Then the owner asks Claude to audit the Tag Manager container for Consent Mode v2 and hands the report to the developer. This example is invented to show the order of steps, not a measured result. The bakery keeps a note of the change date, so a later dip in recorded conversions is read against it.

Try it in your account

Connect your account first. Review the answer before deciding what to change.

Audit Google Tag Manager container <container_id> in account <account_id> for Consent Mode v2. Read only. Report missing default signals and tag consent settings.

Before you move on

  • Know that Advisor Cookies is still in development.
  • Configure Consent Mode and connect your banner callback.
  • Preview consent edits in a Tag Manager workspace before publishing.
